These large plates are a classic signature style of Sirius Glassworks and have not been made for 20 years. They are an eye catching statement piece for display. Peter is one of the few glass makers in North America to make his glass colours from scratch and these plates showcase a wide spectrum of the jewel-tone palettes that are unique to the studio.
This plate is made with copper and selenium with silver blue canne in a grid pattern. The reactive properties of the silver on the copper makes a cosmic veil of swirling blues around the edges. The luxe blue grid made with silver has a subtle pattern like water reflections.
